Frequently Asked Questions

We can provide remote-design-services to our US based clients. For all practical purpose we function similar to our client's design office located across the street or across the state, without the associated overheads. Main difference is the cost and time-difference.

Q1 Is there a minimum size for which this arrangement is feasible?

No. Any size of project can be executed with this method. Indeed, for all practical purposes, our office would be no different than your design department across the street or across state.
We recommend that at first, small projects in the range of 100 to 200 hours should be tried so that client's design managers get comfortable working with our team.

Q2 Is your staff familiar with US design practices and codes?

Yes. Our team is guided by principals who have worked in the US for several years.

Q3 How do you communicate with clients?

We communicate with clients via e-mail, ftp, fax, telephone and voice mail.

Q4 Sending electronic files using ftp...

We have ftp facility to send files. We can provide you access to our ftp server or we can use your project ftp site if you prefer. Sending Printed Documents: Design Drawings, sketches, catalog cut-sheets or  any other hard copy document is scanned and converted into tif or jpg format  and uploaded to the ftp server. To limit file size, it is recommended that  scanning be done in Black & White at 150 dpi, when possible. Most commercial reprographics firms, such as, Kinko's, Ridgways, etc provide  large format scanning at reasonable rates. Some even ftp files to designated site or upload at their site to be shared by different parties.

Q5 Voice Mail...

We have a 24 hour voicemail & fax facility. Clients can leave detailed messages which are delivered as e-mail attachments. Our mail is checked very frequently. Generally we are able to respond to your messages within 2-3 hour in most case. Of course, for very urgent matters, clients can get in touch with us 24/7 at (91) 9326208360.

Q6 What is the time zone difference? What are the working hours? How can we communicate?

We are located in Aurangabad which is located in Central India approximately 200 miles East of Mumbai. There is a 10:30 hours difference between India and US Central Standard Time (6:30 am in CST zone is 5:30 pm in India). This changes with day light saving time.
We work from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. This usually provides some overlapping working hours between US and India.

Q7 Courier...

Almost 100% of our document exchange is electronic, however, when required, we send hardcopy documents via FedEx, DHL and Airborne which takes 3 - 4 business days.
